How to turn “I can’t,” into “I can.”

There’s nothing more frustrating than that nagging feeling that you really ought to ride more. You really should be doing the things that you used to love doing with your horse. But then there is this feeling that comes up, its something from deep within you that feels uncomfortable. You feel quite embarrassed to admit it and it has caused you to be quite excellent at thinking of excuses as to why you can’t or shouldn’t ride.

So is this okay?

No it most certainly is not!

But what can you do about it?

Lets start by shining a light on the things that are causing these feelings.

And lets give you some really damn good reasons to overcome these issues or blocks, or whatever you want to call them.

First ask yourself these questions:

What do you want to do that you currently feel resistance to?

Want would your life look like without that resistance?

What can you do to begin your recovery, to overcome this resistance?

Take a while to think about this….

Sometimes the actual change is the scariest bit, the actual decision to change something quite fundamentally is so alien that its uncomfortable.

Your inner self, your soul is very good at protecting you and keeping you safe from harm. But training your inner self to be a little braver and push your boundaries, stretch your confidence muscles.

And it makes you feel completely amazing when you have got through a block or a resistance and just gone out there and done it!

So its important to break things down into actionable steps that will get you to wherever it is you want to be. With your horses, with your riding and with life in general.
